Thx everyone for after reading my “venting frustrations “ thread for putting the wind back in my sails!

I know it’s not a highly technical thing, but I buckled down, told myself I wound not be defeated again, and dissected all the hoses, etc. and
removed the water neck/thermostat in anticipation of the soon to be delivered Mishimoto 180 thermostat! Did I really just spend $50 for a thermostat??. But I know me, and if it’s one iota better for my baby, it’s worth it to me !

also spent a tedious (but very satisfying) 45- hr scraping, cleaning, rinsing the surfaces and water neck itself!
When I go to reattach all the hoses, do I just shove them back together and clamp the down? Or is there an adhesive to help ensure no leaks? I know RTV as a gasket on the water neck and a bit in the bolt holes, but what about connecting the hoses back together??166C1AF6-62A1-4DB9-858A-F03FD6A650E5.jpegE124A8CA-EFF3-4B11-B826-2B93DD9344A1.jpeg

the hose clamps tighten down around the hose to ensure there is a solid connection between the hose/nipple.
