Drove it to work and back home..also grabbed lunch. It runs good..with the exception of the idle, motor shakes a bit..Needs an idle tune but Im pretty sure the excessive shaking is due to teh 02 sensor that i have thats busted..

Also..if my cars not throwing any codes yet, (since they reset it after they did the work at the shop), I know it will soon..which is weird because it seems to run better with the check engine light on..My question is.

Im not too thoroughly impressed with it in traffic..if I give it gas, it seems to hesitate a bit, doesnt pick up liek I thought it would. Now..sounds stupid..but this could be because the 02 correct? even if its not throwing a CEL code..right?

Its still making the noise..but as I said in my other threads the guys at ford checke dit out..its getting oil, and the compression test was really good..so it may just be noisy valvetrain..Just drive it till it breaks I suppose.

Eh..These cams dont need a dyno tune. Just an idle tune. Im sure a tune would help but I dont have 600 dollars to throw at it anymore. TBH guys I'm pretty disapointed with this. I floored it in second gear and it didnt even attempt to spin the tires. Ill swap out the o2, see if that helps..

Just curious. If the car was a tooth or two off in timing..how long would it take before it would be.."noticable"? Right away?

When you did the swap, did you notch the pistons or you got the valves marginalized? If you notched the pistons maybe they weren't notched enough to clear the valves so thats why you could possibly have a noisy valvetrain. I was talking to a couple of guys and they sent their intake valves to hitech to get margin so the piston doesn't hit it. And yeah you definitely should get a tune to get the max out of those cams. I would try to save up some cash for it!

yes..yes yes yes. The PTV issue has been solved. If I would have PTV it woulda happened by now, and Bart from Hitech says its not PTV.

Not sure why, but my car doesnt feel all "mighty powerful".

I didnt drive my car for 2 months..but it still feels like a NPI car. I havent smashed through the gears yet from a dead stop..but I mean even peddling my car its not "woah sweet" impressive. I figured I'd notice a difference there at least. *Shrug*

something definately sounds fucked up there... how are the coils on that car? take a voltmeter to them and see what it reads, it may be time for new coils or investigate the ignition.. fuel filter? pump voltage, what octane gas are you running?, what rear end gears are in the car? have you considered changing them?

I dont know..I think the idle has to do with the 02 sensor. Im really not wanting to mash it because I just have the oil plug hole plugged slightly..dont want it to gush out. I'll have to see.
