got the car semi tuned

well some of you guys probably know i bought an xcal2 (no its not the xcal3) and Lonestar's tuner Archie tuned my car with his pro racer package. that software costs 20,000 dollars for shops, did you guys know that??? but he just tuned it for just the mods that i had, no dyno or anything, just a solid base tune for what i have done to the car. he said i probably picked up 10-15 hp with the tune because he leaned out the A/F ratio and let me tell you guys, my car purrs going down the road.

it is sooooooo smooth. my car doesn't bog down anymore at certain RPMs, it seems "happier" at higher RPM's and it just really seems like it wants to go. its no performance tune, just a 93 octane tune with my CAI and exhaust plugged into it.. my car idles like its turned off, i can't even tell its on besides the exhaust making noise. i love it!

i can't wait to get it dyno tuned. me and my dad are almost done with the other engine too, we had to wait for the cam positioning tools and hold down tool so we could time it correctly. its all timed, now we are just missing a few bolts for the tensioner arms. after that, we are getting the coolant crossover tube and putting the intake on! :dancing6:

then its time to beef up my motor.

the version for shops has a LOT of tuning ability with it.

they have the 800 dollar pro racer pack version for like regular people but he said they bought the 20,000 dollar version of pro racer pack.

I was honestly not aware that I had any less ability than a shop. Interesting, because with the Pro Racer, you can make your timing 50 degrees at 2000 rpm, and -3 at 2100 if you want. I'm going to look into that more.

there is no difference between what the shops PRP and what Joe Blow can get other than if I want to tune another car i got spend 150 bucks for another database for that car. With their's, they can tune as many different cars as they want.

IF they spent that much(which i doubt, lol) it was a licence to tune more than one vehicle. the have some kinda contract system so they can tune all the cars they want. its waaaay more expensive

thats what im saying. they have more ability to tune. the regular version is for just the regular guys that tune their cars. the 20,000 dollar software is for shops because they can do more with it.

ok i see what you guys are saying after reading mine. you have the same thing they have, but they can do MORE CARS whereas you cant. thats what i was saying. thanks jfor for fixing that.

Even at 150 a car, they can tune 1000 car's cheaper than 20k, :hammer:

I think they were just jerking your chain and being like "Hey we spent 20k on this because we are awesome and only the best for OUR customers..." But it's cool, I'm glad your happy with your baseline :thumb: did you get ahold of SCT today to see what's up with your logging?
