So some of you know I'm getting closer to installing the motor in my notch. I've been working on this project for a little over a year, and here's where I'm at.
Engine+Four.JPG

I bought a couple broken T5s from a guy for cheap along with a few bellhousings. I found out that people will pay good money on eBay for powdercoated bellhousings with ALL the bolts, so I sold them. :icon_rr:

Well, the bellhousings I sold included some of the bolts I needed to install my motor/tranny - so I ordered them last week.

Yay! ARP 12 point bellhousing and motor mount bolts! (and a few random other ones I needed)

I've also got some ARP pressure plate bolts coming in, and I already have the ARP flywheel bolts. :)

Progress!

Paul.

man i love your engine Paul. I really want to get some powdercoating supplies and do this. I was showing my dad and he loves your engine. As do I, hopefully one day I can get mine looking like that.

Keep it up man.

With a little luck there will be some serious work done over the holidays. I need some friends to help me because I can't do a motor install by myself, so hopefully I can get someone to come over here. :)

Oh, and I'll post pics because unlike Handz, I actually DO work on my cars instead of posting on the internet all day lying about it.

There's a few more in my build thread, but most of them were lost during the move. It would probably take me the better part of a day to get everything re-hosted and put back up. I might try to do that after this Friday when I'm off work for a couple weeks.

Hopefully the last two weeks of this year while I'm on vacation. You should come down here and help. You're a big f'er, so I'm sure you'd be lots of help muscling everything into place. :)

looks very good. If i remember right, you said you were planning on the notch being sort of "a little of this, little of that" car,
meaning it will see some drag, some auto x, and some car shows? with that sanitary of an engine it needs to see some shows..

Meh. I'm not really a car show guy. I want the car to run so I can beat it mercilessly. I want to drag race it, cruise around with it, and maybe run it at an open track event for fun.

My cars would be embarrassed next to yours. Your car is ridiculous awesome. Besides, you're a bit far of a drive.

I hate predictions because all you do is set yourself up for failure. It won't make much power - it's just a TFS top end kit on a 306.

Yep, for the motor install I need at least two people. One on the crane and one guiding, although three makes it super easy. I'm going to attach the motor and tranny together and drop it all in at once. With a tubular front end it's obscenely easy.
