Well since my GT is a 97, and has the modified radiator brackets and such, or at least the overflow support, i thought it would be easy to be able to put in my mishimoto radiator. Well that wasn't the case at all.

I took it out of the box, and noticed that one of the ends didn't seem like it was welded on exactly straight, but i didn't think it would be that big of a deal.

Turns out it was, for the life of me, couldn't get it to fit into the bottom passenger side hole that its supposed to fit in. Tried wedging soap, ETC but it was too far forward, and the radiator couldn't move back because of the bracket for the ABS controls.

I bent the bracket, and after about an hour of frustration, cut the grommet and wedged it in. the other side went in easily, but when it came to the top radiator support on the drivers side we had to wedge it and pry it to get it to fit.

The grommet on the top is now stretched way out of shape as well.

At least it looks nice in there, but damn, that was a royal pain in the ass.

A better radiator is always a great cooling mod, good job man any pics of it in there.

My cousin is running one on his 94 5.0 i really like the way they look and theyre much wider than the original radiators.

I just installed the mishimoto in my car last week and it dropped right in for me. That sucks that you had that much problems with the install.

"didn't seem like it was welded on exactly straight"

If i had a penny for every time i've seen or heard that, it seems to be luck of the draw with so much stuff.

Yea, i plan on doing that pretty soon. I'd ask for them to exchange it, although my stock radiator is busted, and i need the mishimoto in there, and the fact that i cut my grommets to make them fit, and i already spent 3 hours putting it in. I'll go get some pictures.

Notice how the grommet is really stressed.

You can see the side box doesn't seem to be welded on straight.

I was reading on Corral about a guy who had Mishimoto radiator and he developed a small leak. Mishimoto sent him a new radiator and then he installed that one and then sent the old one back. Sooo... they might do the same for you.
