Heads now would be kind of counter-productive since he just dropped the motor in. I say boost the BITCH

my goal is to get a mid 11s 2v

How do you plan to get there, do you want a daily driver, do you want a nitrous car do you want a turbo car do you want a supercharger car???

If you take your car, swap a stock PI block in there and toss an SI trim on there youll see 11.60's with a stick if you know what your doing. IF spray is what you fancy get ready for a 150 shot ( i think is what my bud was running) and some good suspension, k member, lca's and adjustable shocks all around are a must. If you want to be baller and do it all NA, take that pi long block and throw it in the trash. You wll need serious parts to make it go.

Figure out what the purpose of this car is and from there you can decide what yo uwant to do.

I'm with the duff meister, depends what you want from the car. If like you said you just want a car that will run mid 11's and you dont care how to get there, just throw on nitrous, blower, turbo...upgrade fuel and be done.

+1 for N/A monsters! but seriously you cant go wrong with a vortech if you want to get 11s now. i think you would be more proud of a N/A motor but thats just me.

There are very few 2v na's which run mid 11's most are race cars that run the "factory stock" class in NMRA

Idk I hear they are the best to run. What would you suggest?

Keep the 8.8 Its a strong rear end and when its braced correctly, its a great piece. Weld axle tubes and new plug welds, get some good axle tube braces, and go from there. You can cut and put 9" ends on it if your going to run a spool, but to put a 9" in one of your cars and not use it, is quite pointless.

And to the OP

Go with a Procharger, get a new kit and lit up the sky man, a good blower with good suspension and a consertive tune yo ucan see 400 wheel and 11.7's all day.
