I've been looking at options to paint my mirrors and a few other things under the hood, but all I've bee coming up with is an expensive trip to the body shop for a job that I can do myself, I just don't have a spray booth. My paint code isn't made by Duplicolor like many colors are, so I had to take a different route. I found an aerosol 2 stage (base coat/clear coat) touch up paint that apparently uses real automotive paint. I'm usually skeptical about these things, but I figured I'd give $65 and give it a try. That $65 got me shipped 2 cans of base and 2 cans of clear. The results speak for themselves as seen below when I compared a test strip to my old tail light bezels, it matches perfect. The paint can be purchased at http://www.automotivetouchup.com It's available in pens, brushed cap containers and rattle cans like I bought. Even larger quantities are available if you have an even bigger project.
Now we don't have to pay out the @$$ to get little things on our cars painted anymore!!! :dancing6:
:coolsmiley:
And I know that the paint on the test strip is wavy...it's a piece of cardboard. One damn fine looking piece of cardboard if I do say so myself!
