Grinding Cobra front calipers

Trial fitted a 5 x 15 Pro star on my front end few days back with spacers and i need to grind the caliper on the back edge.

Has anyone totally ground off the stepped ribs to make the caliper smooth?pics would be great.

Ive seen them ground off before. Don't have pics. They are just for caliper cooling, so if you do any sort of driving where you really use the brakes, I'd probably skip that mod.

I'm grinding the shit out of mine because I don't give a rats ass. But that's for 15x3.5. For the price of aerospace brakes I'll be doing that soon and using my cobra stuff for another street cars
