I didn't know where to post this so here is as good as any I guess. I've been searching for my paint code on-line. I have some things that need touched up. Now I'm getting the impression that there is some confusion between paint codes. My car is a ZF paint code which was a Ultra White Cobra only color in 1994. But this coincides with some other oddities about my car. When I had the rear glass replaced for my convertible top. They ran the VIN code on my car. It came up as a 1994 Cobra convertible. After some discussion (because I know my car is a GT model). The shop told me this was common, and I must have a car that was ordered with certain Cobra features. So does this sound right to everyone? I just need the proper paint color, lol!

Cobra is a Cobra. GT is a GT.

You can't/couldn't order a GT with "some" cobra options.

Let me see if I can find your color..

Well this is what I know. When the collision shop punched in my VIN it came up as a 1994 Cobra. My door code reads a ZF paint code for my body color which is ultra white for a 1994 Cobra Mustang. Now I know my car is a GT. Title and registration all list it as GT. But some MUST have come with a common trim package and color option. Why would mine come up this way. I'm not trying to pass my car off as a Cobra. I just need the proper paint code.

I would think it's impossible for your VIN to say Cobra but your Title to say GT, since they base one off the other. What's your VIN? Any possibility your dash was replaced with a Cobra dash and thus having a Cobra VIN? Does the VIN on th dash match the one in the door?

LOL this reminds me of the one guy in the gallery, that has a cobra, but was totalled and made into a GT, with a factory 5.0L engine and not the cobra, and it has GTS seats...

Okay, body shop must be dumb. I entered my Vin on the Ford VIN decoder and it comes up as a 1994 GT convertible. The thing is I still have a ZF paint code on the door. So My car was painted Ultra White I guess.
