How much boost can GT40s handle before they become to much of a bottle neck? Or what is the power limit for them?

I thought the gt-40's and the cobra upper and lower were about 350 but that was without boost. i am unsure of what they could do with a forced induction.

There never really is a true bottle neck with heads and boost. Boost is gonna go through no matter what, it is forced.

As far as powerwise, there were cars deep in the 10's with GT40's in the late 90's early 2000's.

Stock E7's and a cam is no gain. A cam is usually worth about .2/.3 in the 1/4. The gain is not huge enough to tear a motor down and install a cam.

I would only install a cam if you were putting on a set of heads.

I had a buddy with a completely bone stock 93 Cobra with an S-trim with a 2.95 pulley. He went 11.70's all day with a completely stock Cobra motor, only added was full exhaust, gears, tune and a set of slicks.

70mm MAF, 65mm TB, Cobra Intake, GT40 Heads, 1.7's, Long Tubes, 3.73's, 26 X 10.5.

It can be done. It is not very hard either.

The setup mentioned above is me i just have a bigger MAF. I am gonna do some porting on my gt40s while it is down. but what cam should i run with my car its worth the .2/10s to me cause i am already in the motor. I have never put a cam in a S/C car or worked with 1.7RRS so i am a little worried about my clearance issues???

The Crane Powermax 2031 is a good blower cam and it is designed around the GT40 heads.
