lookin for info , links , what not for swap , intake upper , lower , heads ...what to look for as far as parts , years to pull from ...ect..

96 to early 97 explorers. Ones with angled spark plugs.

Have em rebuilt, milled 40 thousanths, port your lower explorer intake, use the explorer upper, fox style TB, 24lb ev6's and a 76MM pro M. Done!

Its what I have. If I was to keep it a bit more simple, I would have gotten a 94-95 cobra upper intake/TB setup and used that. But Fox stuff works well too.

I my self never liked the gt40p heads but people have lots of luck with them . I used a set of fully ported gt40 93 cobra heads . They r harder to find but u don't have to run special headers like u do on the p heads . As far as intake the explorer unit are a good choice.

You can use the GT40 upper and lower intake and the heads from the 96-97 Exploders. I would call a pick and pull, as my local one will give me everything for 450. I would call a machine shop. My local shop quoted about 180 to port and gasket match the intake and heads. I gotta buddy that used a Dremel rotary and did the port and gasket match himself, but unless you know what you're doing, I don't recommend it. You also will need to get an elbow adapter for the air intake to go on the GT40 upper, as well as obviously new gaskets. You can get an entire gasket set from American Muscle for 115... Altogether, in my area, that's quite a HP gain for about 745
