as stated, for our cars you will need an elbow... dont pay 80 bucks for one, there are plenty of people who sell em for around 30 on average, and if you decided to use a spacer on the intake you will need to get an adapter for your egr tube which is about 11 bucks at summit... pretty easy upgrade tho for an intake

You might need a tune but thats hard to say. Of course, for a tune to work, you'll need O2 sensors....

After doing some horse trading and selling some stuff I got my GT40 setup (heads and both upper and lower intakes) for about $150. If you have some you-pull-it places up your way check them out. You can get both intakes here for about $75 and $50 for each head around here.

Not neccessarily. I forget which years they were, but some had external EGR and some had internal EGR. I think the later Explorers ran an internal EGR system. I have GT40 heads and the intakes I run have the holes for internal EGR, I believe. May be it's just my upper or lower that's set up for internal EGR though.

Holy cow!!! Around here, the intake for 150, and the heads for 150 each is a steal!!! You should start an online thing with those!

Also , the lower is an internal egr guess it has a port between front and rear runners , will this be any problem ?

$$ i got , power i want , got to figure out how i get my fix

If you have money, then the junkyard is perhaps not the easiest or best route to take. A trick flow top end kit would be an easier path. Or better yet, just buy a supercharger kit and bolt it on - more power with less hassle than a heads cam intake combination, not to mention easier to install.

I think it's probably a good idea for you to stop mouthing off to the membership, listen to those members who are trying to help you despite your attitude, and learn something.

Paul.

Patrol through CL and forums. As previously stated, you can get the elbows for around 30 used, or 100ish new. Hate to say it, but I dunno if the egr locale will be an issue. With the heads, remember if you go the GT40p route, you will need different headers.
