GTS question?

I have what i was told is a "95 GTS.Is there a way by the vin(or other #'s)that can confirm this?Thanks

Not sure, if it has manual windows, manual locks, no cruise, and has the 6 cyl seats, it's for sure a GTS. It will also not have the fog lights. Some were manual shifts, some were auto's. Most were standards tho. Hope this helps you out some. I used to own one. They also didn't come standard with a wing on the trunk.

Manual windows are usually the big give away. Some cars had spoilers put on by dealers so spoilers can't always be the key. I guess you'd have to run the VIN to make sure the car was a V6 swapped with a 5.0L, but if it has manual windows, locks, no cruise, no ABS, and the 6cyl seats, its more than likely a GTS.

I used to remember the different code got GT, V6, or Cobra, but I've forgotten. Do a quick google search. Should point you in the right direction.

I have a GTS at the house. I can get my Vin and post it to see if any of the VIN is the same.

I also have a GTS, and the vin is no help. There is no special code for the GTS... Look for the telltale signs as mentioned in the above posts...

That is correct... 1995 is the only year the GTS was made... Pushrods FTW...

no nor does it tell you on the vin i looked mine up and dint say anything about 248a

no but if you request a copy of the car's original invoice from Ford, it should show 248a package or the GTS designation

i did it the day after i saw this thread, it takes a few weeks, but it is pretty cool to have if you arent the original owner of the car
