Does anyone have or used one of those “as seen on tv” handheld compressors. My other compressor is in its way out and I’m wondering if they really work. Any input?

I know a guy that got one for his bicycle. It could fill a bike tube to 35 psi but it seemed like it took a fair amount of time for a small tube. I can only imagine a full size car tire. I was surprised to discover that my new impreza came with a small portable compressor that would easily fit in a shoe box and have space left over. I have not used it but I assume they have?

My bother has one of the knockoff handhelds that look like a drill and he likes it. My daily driver Mitsubishi also came with a small air compressor that plugs in to the 12v outlet in the car. I used it to air up a customer's tire, and it was kinda slow but worked fine.

it is just a matter of physics with its size being so small it just can't supply a large volume of air and still get any pressure in it as well. As you said even a small portable one will take while, those handheld versions might be ok to top it off if it is a little low but I think you will be there all day if it is actually able to fill a tire.

I have the Rigid family of electric tools, so I have their hand-held compressor as well. Gets loud and hot when trying to do 4 truck tires, but gets the job done. Great for the track as I don't have to lug around a big air tank.
