hard to start 98 v6

the wife's car is a 98 v6 and when we go out to start it it will crank for a minute and then we let off and crank it over again and it will finally start. have replaced the fuel regulator already with a stock replacement and it did not help at all. hear a sucking sound from the pass side when car is cut off or it could be a motor turning sound. any idea's on this ? :BangHead:

go to an autoparts store have have them check your charging system. could be the battery, alternator, or starter

my car does the exact same thing and Ive already changed the battery and alternator

alternator has been changed, starter and battery both tested. seems to be an iac issue, leaking intake gasket or fuel issue
