Harmonic balancer questions

Im in need of a balancer for my new motor, just a 50oz reg one, is it worth the extra money to get a "name brand" one or just a reg ford racing stock one? I meanie the stock one works great then I'll just save the extra cash... I just want someone else's opinion on this...

I replaced mine with a ford racing stock one. Works just fine. I don't have any engine mods, though, but I can't see why you would need anything else. A balancer is pretty much just a weight.

A Ford Racing replacement will work, but I have always stepped up to an SFI rated piece. It'll outlive the car in most cases.
