Has anyone installed DDM 12K fogs? Help!

So i ordered a set of 12000K 880 fog light HID kit from DDM tuning. I used to have 12K headlights and they were very much purple. I just put 12K fogs in my cobra and turned them on and they look hella white!!! IT is still daylight but they dont seem purple at all.

Does it take time for the color to wear in?

hmmm i'm pretty sure the color doesn't wear in, they do warm up but that doesn't take long. I'm not sure 12k should be purple but it should be at least very very blue.

Thats what i thought. It shouldnt take long for the bulb to fully warm up. The 12K's i used to have in my headlights were really purple. I went to 10K's which were really blue.

contact DDM Tuning, i guess it could be possible you got the wrong bulbs.

Yeah. I tried calling them after i got them hooked up and turned them on but they were closed. I gotta call them tmrw morn. I was just hoping somebody on here would know.

Onyx - Do you have HID's in your fogs? do the housing get too hot? Any problems with melting the lenses due to the HID's being too hot?

Of headlight blueness with 10K bulbs? or the fogs i just put in? The fogs are super white. Im pretty sure they are 6K bulbs but the box they came in said 12K. So im calling DDM tmrw

I didn't want to start a new thread of fogs so I am going to ask the question. When you go on ddmtuning website. For the 880 kit, do you need a hid harness for it? Or does it plug into each separate pigtail on the mustang?

Thanks man. Yes I do have HIDs in my fogs, as far as i know there are no problems with heating or melting the housing.


JerZey I'm not totally sure what you're asking but just buy the 880 HID kit and it'll plug into your stock fog wiring.

Alright I will take your word for it. Tempted to get the 55w kit because I love the brightness, just do not want to melt the fog light housing...

Alright I will take your word for it. Tempted to get the 55w kit because I love the brightness, just do not want to melt the fog light housing...

I have the 55w DDM 880's sitting in a box ready to install. Weather looks to be nice this weekend so I was planning on installing them Sunday so shoot me a PM in a few weeks if you want a update on if they melted my lens

They say not to use 55w bulbs in smaller fog light housings because of the heat... go with the 35 watt kit they are PLENTY bright. Don't believe me I'll post a pic.

I'll try to get a pic tonight. But they are like a 6K bulb. So they just look super white.


Talked to DDM today and he said he is going to grab another set and test them himself to make sure they are 12K's this time. Then he is going to send me the new bulbs and i get to keep my old ones

Did you hear they had bad customer service? My experience with them is probably the best customer experience i have ever had!

oh. well my experience with them was awesome. Im pretty sure they sent me 6k bulbs instead of 12k's that i ordered. The customer service rep i talked to had no problem with sending me a set that was right. even said he would test them to make sure they were 12k's before shipping them to me free of charge
