Yes that is the J mod.

Every 4R70W I've owned or friends have owned have had the JMod done to them. It's really a great upgrade for the 4R70W, especially combined with a nice converter.

I've seen a ton of feedback from people who have done this mod. it's a great way to improve performance without screwing anything up in the transmission. I would have done this to mine, but I ended up getting a Lentec valve body.
the rest of the transmission I had built to his spec.
