hahahahahaha

sounds EXACTLY like a SN95.
RichV is the man here who knows how to get these pigs to take a corner. mikey94gt knows whats up, too.

i put some pretty standard work into my suspension and it really helped with the body roll. ... but its nothing like what some of these guys do to their cars... at the end of the day, if he doesnt have at least $3,000.00 into his suspension he's just blowing hot air at you. lol.

i think your pick up truck comment is funny because from the factory our cars handle as well as a pick up and have the ground clearance of a semi. lol.

i love our mid-90s shitboxes :) <3

Your friends a retard if he thinks that car has to be a V6 b/c it lost. Its an auto for one thing, the driver sucks thats obvious, and who knows how well the car even runs?? Hard to say if it does not have 180K on it and is in severe need of a tune up. You can take a 500 HP Mustang and in the hands of someone who does not know crap as far as how to drive that car would be slow to.

My Subaru would smoke a stock 94-98 GT and ones with basic bolt ons. THEY ARE NOT FAST AT ALL

I just dont understand how he cant hear the difference. He said well a V6 with a good exhaust sounds deep, almost like a V8, like in my car.... I thought the driver in the vid was fine. Its an automatic. Mash the gas and go. No, the launch wasnt spectacular but it was an even race for a little, then the teg started pulling. Even if the stang had a great launch the teg would have caught up and passed it. But I don't really care about that vid. He just said it was a V6 with a 5.0 badge stuck on.

So here's another question, how much hp does my friend have? 3.8 with some cheap cai from american muscle and a huge spectre cone filter, underdrive pullies and magnaflow exhaust? He thinks his MSD wires added hp but I know they didn't. He thinks he's getting like 160...

a cold air intake rarely adds power. whether its name brand or POS junk. its just a pipe.... taking the place of a different pipe. lol. the MAF is the same diameter, ergo that will be the bottleneck regardless.

If you get a highly tested cold air intake on a boosted car, then you may see a difference (IE: a kenne bell intake system on a kenne bell cobra.)

On his V6 he could have gotten a gold-plated, platinum dipped, JLT and it wouldnt have been any better or worse than his OEM plumbing.

OEM rating:
150 HP for a V6.
with loss through drive-train, plus the 1 HP from the intake, 5 HP from the pulleys, 5 horsepower from the exhaust, 1 HP from the wires that adds up to maybe 135 - 140 horsepower to the wheels.

If he wants to question that I had a 1996 GT (the 248a option i mentioned earlier) -- 215 rated from the factory.
Intake, full exhaust, pulleys, 4.10 gears, LSD rear, aluminum driveshaft, spec stage 2 clutch, screamin deamon coil packs, taylor wires -- and i only put down 194 to the rear wheels.

Why would someone stick a 5.0 badge on a V6 and put stock GT wheels on it lol, thats just retarded.

As far as what he has done with his his car it was a slow turd stock, and its still a slow turd now. What hes modded it with will add no significant power at all

Our generation mustangs are slow as it gets. 145 HP from the factory on my sixxer

I'm not saying your friend is retarded, but your friend is retarded. Its one thing to be an enthusiast like the majority of the people on this site, but its another thing to give a car you like too much credit. Our cars have the turning radius of a truck Lol. I don't love this gen car because its fast, but more because of the uniqueness of it. No one believes me when I tell them its 15 years old because it doesn't look 15 years old. Send your friend over here and we can have a little chat with him about it I guess.

What year is your friends 3.8?

At a dyno day a few years back one of the locals put down 157 with a bolt on 3.8, don't remember the year but it's a 99-04. 5 speed as well. The 94-98s will be considerably less in factory trim.

yeah those of us who have been building Mustangs for 10+ years and longer have no clue. I'm on my 5th Mustang at this point but I along with everyone else here is clueless as compared to some kid who threw a cold air kit on his V6

I came to a Mustang forum so obviously I'm going to get biased answers to some of the questions but please answer honestly.

1. Can you get a SN95 GT without fog lights? I'm 99.9% sure you can on the GTS and 248A package. My friend claims its impossible. I mentioned the GTS and he said ALL GT's came with fog lights. I said he didn't know what the GTS was. He said he knew enough to know all GT's had fog lights.
2. Do a V8 and V6 sound similar? I can't tell a 4.6 from a 5.0 all the time but I can always hear the raspyness of the V6 and can always tell it apart from a V8.
3. Do you think this mustang is a 5.0 judging my sound? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQTowRrmQik and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKa67y-Jiu8 my friend claims its a V6 with a 5.0 badge slapped on it
4. Do SN95's handle well compared to a 944S? How about a Mazda3?
5. Are SN95-97 GT's (not Cobras) the best handling GT's ever made? I dont see how they'd out handle a new 5.0.

I'm asking these questions so I can educate my friend. He has a 95 V6 auto with bolt ons (cai, pulleys, magnaflow dual exhaust) and a GT front sway bar and goes around talking about how fast it is and how well it handles.

1. Not all GTs have fogs....I have a 94 GT with fogs, my brother has a 95 GT without, but has everything there to have them.
2. No.
3. It really shouldn't be a question?
4. Well how are you going to drive it? Does it handle well for a DD sure, does it handle well in stock form to autocross...I dont know Ive never tried them lol!
5. False. I think your forgetting IRS and the years of suspension upgrades that have come along since the 90s.

So your friends talk about their modded v6s...stock numbers are what 145hp? With basic bolt ons your really not going to see to much...you don't even see much on a v8 from basic bolt ons...Im sure the gears help but come on...
