Head and Cam Swap help

I am going to do the swap over the winter. Did I miss anything?

Ford Racing Head Change Kit
Valve Cover Gaskets
Timing Cover Gaskets
Intake Gaskets
Lokar Dipstick just because I have heard how much of a pain the Ford one is.

Comp Cams XE-270 Will have any piston to valve problems with PI heads on NPI block?
Cam Bolts either the ARP set or the Trick Flow. The Trick Flow are half the ARP price, but I don?t know yet.
Comp Cams Springs should I also put new steel retainers and locks from Comp Cams as well?
Valve Seals might as well since the heads are off just cheap insurance.
New plugs and wires

Full Length headers, X-Pipe, and new Cat Back either SLP or Magnapack
Stage 8 Locking header bolts.

The 4.10 gears will be in by the time I do the swap, and I will wait for the converter until I get it on a dyno so I know what will be the best to order. I could be wrong on this part, but I have been told to dyno then order the converter when you know the HP and torque curves. I am also going to take the intake to have a hole drilled and tapped for my temp sender as well.

Is it easier to change the springs while the heads are on or off the engine?

valve springs can be take out, its much easier with the otc tool if the head is attached to the car. see my valve seal replacement stickey.

Duff Daddy will have any PTV problems with the XE270 in PI heads on a NPI block?

I had my Comp 270s in my car with PI heads, NPI block and had no issues, Cams were degreeded on my set up.

Sorry for the late reply I just noticed this.

i run comp 270ah-13s

not a problem, and i was told that they would not work by many shops around the area too before i went ahead and installed them, using comp springs too, flawlessly
