I decided to buy a set of copper header gaskets and some ARP Bolts with the holes in the heads so I
can safety wire them.

When I uses to work on airplanes I had to wire up hundreds of bolts over the years, so I am used to it.
The bolts would never come loose, unless the wire broke, but it almost never happens.

I have no idea what kind of headers I have, and if they are any good. Also what does the threaded nipple
and pipe that leaves the header do?

I don't know much about cars or headers!

Thanks !!!!

These headers have oval ports and the engine has square ports. They were on the car when I bought it.

Will any gasket work to seal it up until I can get the proper headers?

I tried a copper square port gasket and it leaked like hell!

Those look like they are modified to have the EGR... that tube is awfly short. I have mack shorties and the EGR tube is probably twice as tall. The ports to look very similar to 4.6 headers, but i thought the two couldnt be interchangable. Maybe someone did a backyard port job for some reason :dontknow:
