The heater blower motor on the passenger side is starting to whistle intermittently, mostly when it's cold out but sometimes when warmer. It appears to be a simple replacement but I'm wondering if something can be lubricated or adjusted. Any ideas?

It may have lost the seal at the gasket.

Gasket? The Haynes manual isn't showing a gasket but I'll just pull it out and see what I can see. Thanks.

I don't know that there is one in there, I never had any trouble with mine. My truck had a gasket between the blower and the firewall though, and it rotted out and made a whistling sound sometimes. It almost sounded like a high wind.
