My A/C has always worked fine. Ice cold, and gets there quick. But the last few times it would take a few seconds before it would start blowing out of the vents, and now it won't blow out of them at all! No matter what setting it's on it blows out of the defrost. Though it's still cold, it has a much lesser effect -- effectively being heated by the sun and as it hits the hot windshield. Plus I'd like to have my heat coming out of the vents for the cooler fall mornings. What's the deal??

Look on the passenger side of the firewall and you will see a large grommet that some heat/ac lines come out of, as well as one vacuum line. Trace tha line and you will probably find the other side just behind the engine.
I know it was a way bigger PIA trying to cool myself off from the defrost vents then it was to type that.

The line is a little plastic line in between the two large heater core lines running into the firewall. It should run to the back of the intake, some kind of valve on the fuel rail, and then continues to the front of the motor. That plastic line gets brittle and cracks easy. I ended up snapping it installing my purge. Splice it with a rubber line and you're all set.
