do you have the stock gt40 heads or the aftermarket gt40's, as for the cam i would go steeda 19 or custom grind if your planning on doing more during the cam install

Why would he spend more money on a custom cam when he has the stock heads and intake. Yeah they are better for being cobra but still waste of money I think. There are some pretty nice cams for under 200$. Alex just get a .600 lift cam and call it a day hahah. The TFS 2 has quite a big lift on it. How long are you sticking with your heads? I dunno man there are so many to choose. The TFS 1 and the 2031 seem pretty good... might wanna check them out too.

How do you want the car to perform? What kind of idle do you want?

Do you want high end HP?
Do you want low end torque?

What is the rear gear ratio?
Automatic or manual?
Rear tire diameter?
Plans for heads and intake?
Daily driver or weekend warrior?
Street only or street/strip or drag?

Asking what cam you should get is the same as asking what car you should get. There are so many that do such very different things, in such very different conditions. Need more info.

hey i'm also in the process of installing my cam and heads, i did a little research and the f sounded like the winner because it has a bad ass idle sound and it pulls like a beast on top end. I know a lot of you don't like the alphabet cams but they have been proven and proven for years with great results, as for the originator of this thread i almost got an identical set up as yours, gt40 iron heads, explorer intake and TB, f cam, 1.6 roller rockers with long tubes the only difference is that i'm going with a lot of nitrous and nitrous makes the cam act smaller as opposed to a blower which makes a small cam act as a bigger cam. other than that an e cam would have probably been ok. just my 2cents...
