Help needed please !!!!

Yesterday I started my 96 v6 and it died but started right back up but I noticed wen I put it in drive the oil pressure and battery gauge jumps any idea why ?

Without any further info, I doubt anyone can give you a good option.

First couple of guesses.

1- make sure your ignition key is "centered" back in the "run" position after startup.
2- what is your battery voltage before starting?
3- is the alternator charging?


All gauges are electrical. If multiple gauges are affected by a problem, then it will be electrically related.
Battery. Alternator. Harness connections. Ground wires and grounding straps from engine to body, body to battery and battery to engine.

A bad ground or ground strap can make 'em do some pretty hinky things.
