My wife got home tonight, and the car had no interior lights. The gauges don?t light up, and neither does the ashtray. They were working last night when I drove the car. I have checked the fuses, and none are blown. The only thing I have done is fix the tail light that was bad. I had to put a socket in it the old one was busted.

Any ideas?

go back out to the car..turn the lights on, if nothing happens, then start to turn the light knob. Not only does it turn the lights on, but it is also a dimmer. Problem fixed!

you said you checked "THE fuse"? If you literally only checked one, then go back and check them all now. Do not bother with your manual just start in one corner and work your way across until you either find one that is bad or you have checked them all. Do not forget the fuses by the battery.

They tap different circuits for power, so while you checked the fuse labeled wiring they might have tapped off of the power seat circuit and that might have blown. I find it funny and interesting to get the manual out after you find the blown one and see that what it had listed had NOTHING to do with what you were trying to fix.

I thought I had a headlight sw go bad. The dash lights didn't work and neither did the taillights.(you might want to look at this too) It turned out to be the H/L harness pigtail had melted and wasn't making good contact.

I checked every fuse under the dash. I also turned the knob as well.

I will mess with it some more when I get home.

how bout under the hood?

The light assembly is known to get hot and can cause problems as well. Are you running hid, aftermarket fogs or anythng crazy?

It was just a fuse. I found it with a test light. You couldn't see it by looking at it.

Thanks for your help.

FYI your tail lights are on the same circuit as your dash lights.
