my daily driver just lost third and fourth... ima get a used t5, however their different in the sn's, the input shaft? what can i do to use the foxbody input shaft?

i think you have to change the input shaft, but i might be wrong

I think you need to change input shafts or use the foxbody bellhouse and clutch fork setup and maybe a driveshaft spacer.

Probably better off rebuilding yours. Most likely your going to not find one under 300 bucks and its gonna be broken anyway. What exactly do you mean you lost 3rd and 4th? Did you lose them at the same time or separately? Does it just not go in or is it grinding really bad?

thanks guys for your help, i went ahead and tore it apart only to find i had a broken shift fork.. i replaced it and it now works fine...

Hanlon, Astro, and D&D all carry forks.

As an FYI, the Sn's T5's, all have what's called the "High Alloy" gearset, Fox T5's are far weaker in several area's. If you guy's ever do swap for a Fox T5, keep your stock one for rebuilding as it already has alot of the upgrades companies sell you in a 350-400 rwhp ready trans.

i used a shift fork out of a buddies 95, he screwed sumtn up in the tranny but the fork was still good....
