There should be a relay for your turn signals and hazards. Do you hear the clicking when you try to turn them on? If not check the relays, they are the black boxes that plug in right next to the fuses I forget which one it is but look down there and figure out what size the relays are and buy one. Then with the car off turn on your hazards and and pull one relay at a time, replacing it with the new one that you just bought. Put the relay that was originally there back in if the flashers don't come on. Good Luck

seems as though it is a flasher... which is located under the dash behind the fuse box (closer to the firewall)... this thing is very sporatic so we will see how much it costs and go from there... maybe a junkyard special :)

hope this helps somebody else eventually!

another common problem is that the switch for the hazards has a tendency to build up alot of dust around it in the space between the switch and the steering colomn. When this happens and the switch is then pushed you can push alot of that dust into the contacts of the switch and make it not make contact. IF you have used your hazards shortly before eveyrthing stopped working, then try pushing the switch in and out 5-6 times and try to clean out the dust.

Not you do not have them just staying on solid do you?

the problem I had was a wire just above the clutch pedal arm was chafed through by the arm rubbing the insolation over time, so everytime I pushed in on the clutch it would arc against the wire and blow the fuse. # 9 fuse I believe. Crawl under and look at the very top of the clutch arm and you'll see the wire bundle and move it to the side so you can see if yours is chafed. I insulated the wire and it fixed the problem. I found this info searching the web. It is probably your problem too.

there is a flasher seliniod that goes in the fuse box in alot of cars. its a big round yellow plastic thing the size of a golf ball. try replacing that. (if our cars even have them... not 100% sure)

I'm thinking flasher as well... busy tonight but tomorrow I will be detailing it for the chicagoland mustang club season opener on sat. (details at chicagolandmustang.com if interested!) I will probably be picking up a new flasher then...

it is under the dash right behind the fuse box... I got the tip from a CMC guy...

Wires are not chaffed... good idea though... that is the location of my problem... (i hope)

thanks again!

just try turning the hazards on 5-6 times and see if cleaning the switch out will help it before you start throwing parts at it. Mine did the same thing 2 yrs ago so I have kept the area around the switch clean since then.
