Help with lights

how do i get my fog lights to come on with my running lights. i have never tryed this before and i could use some tips. i feel stupid for not knowing how to do this :BangHead:

wait, come ON WITH the side markers? arent they SUPPOSED to do that? i thought the fog light mod was to make them individually switchable.

there is 2 different ways to do it. 1 is with the markers and the other is independent

I knew that was too easy! I had to have made a mistake. There was 1 for convertibles and that one. He has a coupe, so I picked the other. I don't know. I tried!

how are they supposed to work from the factory? mine are setup so nothing comes on unless the headlight knob is pulled at least to the first tick, which brings the side markers on, and gives you control over turning on and off the fogs. the fog switch does nothing until at least the side markers or the headlights are on.

i have mine where when i turn the key over, my fogs come on w/o touching the headlight knob

Mine stay on all the time! I didn't really read that post, I just saw fog light mod. It is tied into my conv switch, I think.

Good, I wasn't sure if that was the correct power source! I did it a long time ago. I have not had my car in what feels like as long. I really cannot remember what is where. Yesterday I was in Wayne's car. That was the 1st time I have ridden in a conv since 10/6. His stuff is totally different being it's 8 years newer.

That means yours is modded already. In stock form the fogs don't come on unless the headlights are on. You can mod it so the fogs come on with the first click out, which is like OEM on the newer Mustangs. Or you can wire them so the lights are on with the ignition...

i take it you wire them to the ignition when you want to be able to have the fogs on with none of the other lights on?

no. use the vert harness in the consol. there is a wire that is hot when the ignition is on. replace that one with the pwr feed to your fog sw.

i did mine where they come on when the car comes on. i love em.
