WRONG, they came with leather... i have seat all 3 Cobra R's in person and can tell the difference

Yeah....the description says they ADDED the A/C and the radio.That car doesn't have a back seat and appears it never did.Leather seats was one of the only options you could get on an R,otherwise they came with the non-power cloth seats.The VIN says it came from the factory with a 351 the standard Cobras didn't even get that.

It is my understanding that at least some Cobra Rs came with cloth seats. Cloth is lighter, and more appropriate than leather for a racecar. That car seems legit to me.

Of course, I'm no uber-rare-mustang expert - but on it's face the car seems legit.


That being said, I'd never modify an ultra-rare car like that. Someday I fully intend to buy a Saleen S351 or SR351, and I would never dream of messing with it.

Another reason i am saying its not a Cobra R is because Cobra R's had a Back Seat Delete.....there is not BAck Seat delete on that car, the back seat is just missing :crazy2:

Correct. Most Cobra R's had cloth seats standard. Not far from me is a 95 Cobra R that has 85 miles on it. It's been stored in the showroom of a local Ford dealer since it was delivered. I offered him $35,000 cash for it a couple years ago and he shot it down without blinking an eye.

I believe its a real cobra R. It has just been messed with way more then I think you should. I guess if he had kept every single part stock on there sure but he has messed with too many things.
