I just went to get smogged, I passed everything but the CEL.... it didn't show up when I read it from the strategy but they pulled P1000, which is the obd 2 system not function. Basically because of disconnecting the battery over the weekend, the car hasn't retuned itself. FML!

That's wierd, I have disconected the batt 10 min before i drove up to smog with an o/r x and slp's and passed becasue I had no cell and the ecu didnt recalibrate yet. In MD, they dont check for cats and No Cell = PASS. Is it different in Cali?

yeah you need 6 of 7 of the PCM parameters functioning in Cali and they weren't. BUT. I disconnected the battery and did the Ford PCM Reset and all was good! passed smog with flying colors.

Just swapped the o/r h-pipe back in! I missed the roar haha. While I had the pipe out. I put 2 new front o2 sensors in, it runs quite a bit better, and the idle hang is less apparent. The car seems overall just happier and I am as well.

I love and missed the way the car sounded haha :)

Wait, you have the smell of gas, a rough idle, and an intermittent misfire? Did I miss why the plug wires and COP's haven't been replaced?

I've noticed a lot lately that my lights flicker on the car... The battery light is consistently showing in charging... possibly a dead battery?

Also if i rotate the wheel after I put the clutch (rpm's drop towards idle) it has a tendency to want to stall. it died going into my driveway last night...

I'm buying some Weapon X COP's soon so that'll hopefully help, a nice optima battery, and I'm hoping for some good results.

okay. I'm 100% certain of the issue now. Strong and i mean STRONG unburnt fuel smell. So bad my coworker just passing by my car into work said something. Even worse when the car is on, I sniffed the exhaust, first smell that came to mind, RAW f*cking FUEL. My COP's must have taken a SH*T and that's taking the injectors with it. So I'll be ordering the Weapon X COP's asap, when Lee's injectors get here I'll be installing them, then I just gotta work on the idle.

Injectors are in the mail, you owe me $.08 for shipping (just kidding, but my wife called me and said "it cost $10.08 to ship this little box"....) so you should be getting them in them early next week i would think.

your COPs and injectors dont have anything to do with each other though. also, just because you smell a strong fuel smell doesnt mean its the injectors, or even fuel.

if you got the SCT yet you need to look at the fuel trims and see where they are, that alone will tell you alot. should be extremely negative if the car is dumping fuel.

also, just to let you know coil packs are all made by the same company, just built to different specs for say "MSD,mallory, weapon X, etc, and you rarely need to upgrade them. even at 500whp the factory coilpacks and ignition is plenty, the fault comes at really high RPM (look up Duffy's intended powerband) somewhere well beyond what a stock motor is going to operate at.

If your COP isn't firing the spark to the cylinder, the uncombusted fuel is being discharged through the exhaust.

haha, damn well if I ever buy anything else from you I'll send you an extra $.08 ;)

Well I'm pretty sure that I'm not getting spark, I mean I fired the car up and my eyes started watering because of the raw fuel being ported out of the exhaust. If it's not the COP's or fuel as you suggest what couldn't be other than a more severe internal failure?

I've got the SCT, it's just a pain in the ass to datalog since my computer crashes every fucking 5 minutes...

I know that most are created by the same company. not weapon x though.... the design is completely different and produces more ohms. I've read nothing but good things about them, but, realistically I'm just looking for something that cures my problems and I don't care about performance. Just couldn't beat the $480 price tag vs. the $600 I'd spend for motorcraft.

Actually Granetelli doesn't make coilpacks.

Micro-tech almost exclusively makes coilpacks of our design. The weapon x are not and I don't believe that snipers new coil packs are, maybe a couple more aren't but none are worth mentioning besides those two.

I datalogged. went to save the file and my POS computer crashed.

I'm datalogging Fuel Rail Pressure, RPM, long and short term fuel trims, and that's basically it. what should I be looking for???
