I really was just kidding, I have no experience with MAC. Anyway, I bet you an exhaust shop will be able to tighten up the cup. Bring it to a good one, tell them your problem and they might have a way of shrinking it a bit so it seals better.

my exhaust shop is a damn good one they build exhausts for NASCAR so I have no doubt they could fix it, but, they aren't cheap by any means...

mac headers are great with mac mid pipes. same as all other exhaust brands. they like to mate to their junk because it keeps them in business. i just hate using a hammer to correct flanges.

well I haven't been this upset with the car in my life. Continuous stalling. I checked the alternator it's functioning correctly both electrically and mechanically.

I HATE the feeling of defeat. this is what it feels like currently and it disappoints me that I can't figure it out. The car is going to my shop tomorrow and I'm letting them figure it out.

when in doubt, pawn it off on someone else.

car stalled 6 times going home. homie don't play that game. Sending it to my sponsors shop, specializes in modulars so he'll figure it out.

Hezzzzzz noooo you got me. I read all 8 pages of my same problem sitting here eating 15 year old stale popcorn for the thread to die off. >:€

I am so necrobumping this. What happened? I can’t take the 15 year suspense. I even registered for this lol.

have you done anything with the IAC?
Yeah I did a new one like 5 years ago. Decently dirty now so I cleaned it. Wasn’t getting surgin idle just a slight one and ac damn near kills it.

Unplugged IAC went for 700-800 as another member recommended. It was at like 500 no wonder I once had sticky gas pedal.

Swapped new coil between all cylinders. No change.
Just put all new CAI fittings on and found crack in one. BBK.
MAF no longer dies when I plug it in from unplugged start.

5th is the worst

3 and 4 are luggg Lugg. lugggg
5th is nonstop shudder.

I’m gonna check spark plugs. Belt tensioner seems fine (a shop told me replace once) sometimes a battery light pops up for an instant. It was really consistent for a while but now only occasionally pops up. Alternator seems fine every test. Has been this way over a year (flickering battery light)

Considering doing injector seafoam cleaner. My coolant level don’t seem to go down get tons of white smoke even for secs after shutdown.

By god I’m gonna resolve this thread lol it’s gone on too long.

I sandblasted my plugs sometime last year after changing out cracked manifold they only had a couple K miles. so was hesitating to check them for no reason.
