got a question for you.. how do you come to the conclusion on which wax to use for which colors?? lol.. anyways.. wanted to know some good products to use on the color called "Flame Yellow"... grand father in law has a 57 chevy and wants a good detail done on it, although it's almost spotless as it is since it sits in a bubble in his garage lol. here's a couple pics

when it comes to waxes, its all about price range.

Different waxes in different price rang cant really compete with each other. a $10 wax cant compete with a $1,500 wax.... They can, but its like comparing a Focus and a Ferrari.

Anyways, about how much you looking to spend?

There are alot of GREAT waxes for around $50.

CG 50/50, CG Pete's 53, Wet Obsession, Victoria's Red Wax, P21S Concours. These are all GREAT choices.

Out of those, I think Wet Obsession or 50/50 would look best on Yellow..... But then again, all the waxes i listed look great!!!

I would still go with 50/50. Its gonna make that yellow POP!!!

Wanna make it pop harder? Put Chemical Guys Wet-Mirror Finish on before the 50/50 :notworthy:

the only downside to wet mirror finish is that its a BITCH to wipe so.... like REALLY hard.

so handz.
laser red breatherin.

Im ready to move on from miguires. I've been watching quite a few detail threads on a few different forums and Miguires seems to be a poor-man's bad-a** wax or a rich-man's bottom-line wax...

I like doing a 3 stage set up... to remove the deep-down garbage, to polish teh swirls away, and wax to seal it up...

what do you suggest for a hard-core cleaning on laser red? price tends to not matter to me. lol. :) i have a 9" buffer and can get the pads/covers for and what not. my paint is in great condition, but the problem is i just did a miguires 3-step and teh swirls have already come back... boo.

Uh no, there is very little difference (in looks) between $20 wax vs $7000 wax on a properly prepped surface. You go on any detailing forums and ask if that statement is correct and well just go and do it it should be fun to read lol. The first thing they are going to tell you is it's all about the prep prep prep.
