hey i have a 97 gt... it's lowered has weld in flows and the cold air intake that mounts in the fender. I'm new to this site i'll try to put some pictures on here... lol anyways... I am wanting to buy an o/r h pipe for my car... a guy will sell me one cheap but it's off a 2000 gt... a lot of people have said it will fit but others have said it wont... i just thought i would see what you guys thought... Thanks a lot for your help!

i dont know why it wouldnt... if the price is right, you can always fabricate it.

remember, you may already have catalytic converters, which means o2 sensors... if its an o/r you will have to get MILs.

everything from 96-04 2 valve exhaust will work. The hangers are in different spots. That's all. Just weld up some new hangers and your good to go.

it will be the exact same pipe. because the 2000gt still has a t-45 the mid exhaust hangers will be in the same spots i believe..

either way it will work, go for it. and post up some vids

Hangers will be in the wrong spot because new edges have a different shapped tranny cross member.
I put a 98 H on my 99, and the front o2s had to be extended and the rear 02 sensors couldnt be used. THey hit the floor board.

But in reverse we put my 99 H on the 98 and he had room to spare. we just cut off the hangers.

As ThePope said yes they will work, but the hangers will be in different places. Not really a big deal though.

and thanks for the replies! you guys all confirmed what i was thinking and had heard from other places.

I'm stoked to get it in... just gotta wait till the guy gets new brakes so he can drive it to the shop to put his long tubes on and his new prochamber then it'll be on its way :)

if the hangers are in diferent spots they are soo slose it will work no problems it did for me!
