recently i did the egr plunger thing you said on my gt the mil light went off. but now the car does this funny thing when i start the car after 20- 30 secs. the rpm gauge goes up and down real fast then the car dies. it starts right up then does it again. If i drive off the car might backfire just a lil. when it tries to shut off if i give it gas it will break up some then catch. after the car gets warm it doesn't do it please help this shit sucks ass.

Put your EGR back on. Mine did the same thing when I removed my EGR. I put it back on and voila - problem solved.

car hasn't had egr in a long time, just added the plunger thing and thats when it started took it off still did the same thing.

Okay, so put one on it. EGR helps gas mileage, and has ZERO negative effect on performance.

your car is running in open loop when you first fire it up so it on a differnt fuel and timing map. once its ran for a bit, it switches over to closed loop and starts to run better. Like I said in the EGR sticky, its hit or miss for some people with the egr tricks. The only thing I've seen work everytime is to get a tune and have it shut off in the computer. You can deal with the touchy idle, put it all back, or get a chip. Try resetting the computer if you haven't already. That may help.

thanks clef i have a pms system but i doesnt do anything for the egr i believe so im screwed there. already reset the ecu. but i here a strange noise from the ccrm when the car dies though could that be it also.

someone correct me if im wrong but ..the ccrm controlls fuel to as well right....and doesnt the ccrm click when power is given and taking from it....just a sugestion...maybe the noise your talking about...i know when i put my car together the first time i checked all of that and when i ran a jumper to test ccrm is would click and stuff...just a thought...

No your right, the pms is a good tool, but lacking a lot of features like the Predator has, that and the Stang Tuning forum is like a ghost town, i saw you asked a question, expect about 6 months wait till you get a reply.
