So I just installed my new HID kit that came with plug and play harness and all. It is as straight forward as its supposed to be and installed easily... The problem is my car is reading feedback from the kit. It is a high/low kit so one light is significantly brighter than the other and the high beam indicator inside the car is dimly lit. When I turn the high beams on, the indicator gets brighter but the bulbs do nothing. So here is my thought...
From the factory harness there is a green(+) black(-) and red(+)... if I cut out the factory harness (tap actually) and isolate each line with a relay I should stop receiving feedback and everything SHOULD work... I checked all my connections to make sure they were correct and tight and disconnected each light individually and they stayed their respective brightness. I have read the article about the anti lock brake light relay and I will be doing that anyway because my light comes on. Anyone have any other ideas?
