Sometimes when I turn on my headlamps, my ABS Light will come on and stay on. Do I need an HID relay harness that wires directly to the battery or is there another fix? Thanks in advance.
holy shit, where's the ABS module? Ever since I installed my HID fog lights when i turn them on it throws the ABS light, but if they're on when i start the car the light doesn't come on. It seems totally bizarre but it sounds like you might have the solution...
It's right by the fuse box. At least the test module and supporting wiring is. I had my ballast tucked between the inner fender and the battery. NO GOOD. Too close to the ABS circuitry. I moved everything right behind the headlight door and all is well. Even tested them out this morning numerous times on the road. The little red box right in front of the underhood fuse box is the ABS test unit. Drivers side of the car. These HID's are only 35w, but i'm guessing the digital circuitry on them is just powerful enough to cause interference with other on-board systems if mounted too close.
i have the same problem. just installed my fog light hids only so far since they sent me the wrong headlights, and my fog lights were turning on my abs light..ima have to check how far my ballast if from my abs module
Guys, try to mount your ballasts and all wiring as close to the headlight housing or fog light housing as possible. Just make sure the ballast isn't too close to any computer controlled component under your hood. Since i've relocated my ballasts, all has been well with the ABS light malfunction. :knockonwood:
My ballasts are mounted under the bumper between the rebar and the header panel, theyre hanging off the part that attaches the fender to the rad support(its a small bar.)
Since the ballasts are nowhere near the ABS test connector I am a bit confuzzled...
Maybe I have a bad ground somewhere but I doubt it, since my problem is identical to eveyrone else who has posted in this thread...
