Ok I have a 1994 ford mustang with 5.0 and 5 speed trans it idles high does not go down this is it https://www.facebook.com/groups/223899334775576/permalink/232982293867280/ you may have to
log in to facebook to see it but if you don't have facebook ill describe it to you I was driving home one day from a 20 min drive total miles 9 then I was in forth gear at 2000
rpm went to shift to 5th rpm never changed stayed at 2000 got home checked for vacume leak nothing sent it to shop they said change throttle body iac and tps ok did that nothing
then thaught it was my cold air setup so made my own brung idle down a tad to 1700 but still same problem tps voltage while connected to throttle body reads 1.4
when not connected to throttle body reads 0.95 also that's key on engine off the new throttle body is bbk 75mm the iac is steel not plastic and both iac and tps are borg warner
also tested fine on another car same engine so I'm stuck can anyone please help me out with this I'm to the point of bypassing it all and don't want to do that I will also have codes read in a few days waiting on obd1 reader for ford my old one quit also its not surging :mad::mad::mad:

Your tb is messed up. It's slightly holding it open. That's why your getting a higher reading and that's why it's idling high. It should be around .95 at idle. You gotta figure out why it's either holding throttle open or why the tps isn't mounting correctly.

I'm not saying the butterfly is open. The way the tps is mounting its holding the sensor open. As if your foot is on he throttle.

The fact that it works fine on another car and that you get good readings when it's not mounted says that something is putting pressure on the tab where the throttle body blade turns inside of it to let your ecm know your pushing the pedal.

I tried another tps that was on old one but still good I drilled it to where it was I could turn it no pressure on throttle and still no difference
