Hit a Deer with my STI

Lucky no one was hurt and the STI is not totaled. No estimate done on it yet but that's being done today but appears to be all cosmetic. Was heading up north to visit family and was driving by an apple orchard at about 7PM, considering the location and time of year and time at night the chances of deer being present are quite high. The officer that responded said a lot of deer are hit in that area. Well here is the resulting damage.

Thanks Tony. Taking it down to the body shop in a few hrs. At least its not counting as my fault and is being filed under comprehensive and only costing me $100. Still cuts into my new LED TV Fund though....ugh

glad your ok though bud. deer can tear some shit up! my sister totaled her malibu from a deer. she got hurt as well. had broken bones in her face. had to do a steel plate in her cheek and then have it removed. all from a fn deer!

Tony is the $500 your comprehensive or your collision? My Comp is $100 and my collision is $500. All depends on how the incident is filed. Both of those numbers can be adjusted to be lower or higher depending on how much you want to pay for insurance.

Glad you OK. and the car isn't totaled. I've hit 3 deer and been a passenger once.
they come from nowhere.

that's something i need to look at venom cause i dont actually know if it differs or not. especially since i just jinxed my self saying i've never hit a deer. dammit! lmao

Man that's scary when that happens. It just happens so quick. I am glad to see you are alright sometimes it can be a lot worse. Sucks to see your car like that. Still a sweet car though.

I thought everyone in Ohio has hit a deer given all the corn fields. that's where I got mine. LOL
Being a passenger was definately not something I want to repeat. But it was kinda cool how it went down.

Fortunately I haven't hit one yet, but my grandpa totalled his old GMC in one. It was a pretty decent sized SUV too.

actually there are alot of corn fields here but not in the city i live in. were ya have deer running into the streets is usually roads that are surrounded by woods. that there is alot of around here.

you can see a deer running at you from a corn field.....but when they jump out of the fn trees outta nowhere BOOOM!!

It's either corn or soy beans.
Ya can't see them in the corn when it's 6' tall. ya know.
I'm petrified to drive at night on the interstates in KY and Ten and North. Ga. this time of year. you never know when or where those damn things will pop out at you. And now it's getting to be hunting season and the hunters are in the woods spooking the deer.

Well at least it didnt cause any structural damage. I've seen so many cars just destroyed from Deer around here its not even funny. Whats funny is I see more Deer here in the City than I did when I lived out in the Country with a Corn Field backed up to my yard. I see probably 8-10 Deer weekly here. Wish I could shoot their asses but thats a no go. Venison is YUMMMM!!

The deer's chest hit fender and mirror, and it's head hit the windshield. the thing probably ran away too. they just stand there and take out the whole side of the car.
