I am finally thinking about moving up to a rotary. Might be a couple months before I seal the deal due to other stuff I need to pay off first but where should I be looking to purchase from. Best deals? I have never used one before but am pretty good with a pc and have been detailing for about 10 years now on the side now and then. My truck is gonna be a nice test due to it's very messed up paint!! lol

I like mine and have had it for less than a year. got it from Amazon, then got some pads and backing plates from CG.
I'm sure Handz can give you some more details, he's been using it more, so could Justin at Obsessive, he's the man.

I looked around for a long time when i was looking for a Rotary... Almost bought the makita but i Picked the Hitachi instead.I got mine at lowes... I know also have a delwalt but i will like the Hitachi WAY more. Here are my reasons.

-The hitachi is WAY lighter than the dewalt. This makes it less stressful to use.
-I like the hitachi handle the best.
-The slow start feature on the hitachi is way easier to use then the dewalt which starts pretty harsh IMO.
-5 Year Warrenty

Go with the hitachi, its a premium quality tool.

The slow start feature is the best. With the dewalt its on/off.... But with the Hitachi it speeds up slowly. Really great cause its not as violent.

FYI, The backing plate that comes with the buffer is useless so dont use it.
