I decided to hold off on a tuner, and went ahead and ordered a steeda timing adjuster so I can manual play with the timing.

I also got and installed this NX window switch today. photos soon!

what is all involved with the window switch. Been kickin around the idea of doing a bottle in mine and just wasn't sure what that all took for the switch.

switch was 4 wires. one went to power, one to ground, the other connected to he nitrous relay ground (the window switch becomes the gorund) and the last wire goes to pin 42 on the ecu. took me about an hour to install.

next is purge. im going to the track friday..I'm not going to pull any timing. if i hear detonation i'll shut it down, but with all my research our stock tunes are conservative enough to get away without timing.

Start with the 75 and see how she does. What do you run n/a?

Make sure you have the right fuel/n2o pills in there for the 75 and 100. It will be hard to hear detonation when on the spray, you'll be too busy grinning from ear to ear and listening to the exhaust. Pull a couple of plugs after the run and see if they look lean (white) or if they have a sparkle. Either one are no good.

This thread reminds me of when I first put Nitrous on my 1994 Mustang back in 1997.As long as you don't get too greedy and try to spray too big of a shot it will be the cheapest, most reliable horsepower that you can get.My car runs as strong today as did the first day that I put the bottle on it but I've always stayed with a 75 shot the majority of the time and a few times I've went with a 150 shot. The only things that I've done to mine were to add a 155lph fuel pump and switch to regular spark plugs because a platinium plug will retain heat and burn the tip of the plug off on the spray. You'll also want to invest in a set of DR's because even on a 75 shot a regular street tire won't hook, Nitrous makes some big torque gains.A 75 shot usually picks my car up 9/10th's and 10 MPH in the 1/4 mile if I hit it right off the line.

Your setup looks similar to mine except that I run a dry kit and have my WOT switch mounted on my throttle body.I also mounted my purge and activation switches in front of my shifter.I used to have an 89 Fox Body Mustang and after the ashtray door broke in it after normal use I didn't want to chance it with my 94 Mustang. One of my friends talked me into running a dual line purge in front of the windshield wipers which I think looks better than the single line purge that comes in the kit when you hit the purge button.

I like Nitrous so much that I even put a wet kit with a 25 horsepower shot on one of my ATV's and have been racing it for several years now without any problems. As long as you use a quality kit and don't get too greedy with the shot that you're spraying Nitrous is fairly safe.

NX. or zex

dont get a "pills" style. the nx and zex are more expensive but you can change your firing rpms whenever you want, with a pills type you have to have that specific pill..

why you goinng to hide it? thats no fun...eventually somebody will find out..

I had reliability issues with ZEX, it was an older dry kit. Zero issues with CompuCar and NOS.

I am not in it to rip anyone off as I am not a race-fer-cash dude its really just more for the initial fun of it all. As you said yes eventually it will be known but what sounds more fun to you?

option 1.) "Hey look at my NOS man"(yes I know nos is a brand).
option 2.) "Holy fawk that thing is faster then I thought it would be?!"

Seems to me that after option 2, I still get to do option 1 right? I mean I would still freely admit I cheated for the fun of it, but isn't that why people do it unless they are dirty bastards trying to hustle you? If you knew me, I am not a hustler just a dumb-smart-ass or on a good day a smart-dumb-ass. We walk a fine line until some stupid thought makes a million and then we are genius, my day awaits.

Pill style - I hate to sound dumb but to keep from buying one whahuh?

talk quietly and carry a big stick it my theory. when I am done with it, it will get enough attention. As it is since the trickflow heads/cam install it certainly doesn't sound stock, love the sound now.

when I get back from basic I am buying another mustang (stick) and putting a forged rotating assembly in, some stage 2 cams, custom plenum (direct port) 200 shot on a preogressive controller....

What meet do you go to every saturday night? Did you make it to the track? Interested in the time improvements.

I'm with you Scott on the "talk quietly and carry a big stick". Once my car is finished I won't have any issue popping my hood if someone really wants to see it. Otherwise I'll just keep to myself and if someone wants to race we will see who is at the finish line first.

I am going to the track today. Not sure I'f im going to be able to spray, I heard the track doesnt have a fill station and the closest one is in the opposite direction of the track =(..at least if they dont, it will give me time to get my purge and all installed.

Plan on leaving your bottle for a short time with whoever fills it or spending 30-45 minutes with them. Most places like to chill a bottle in a freezer before they fill it.
