What mods.....If it is like my mod list then I would say 260/300tq, but realistically, about 255/290

Boo. What brand of dyno?

Both #s sound pretty low.

Hp is not how fast a car goes its a rating of the engines efficiency ...... I will take a car that doesn't dyno well but drives and runs good

I agree with running well, but if it does not compare with other similar models there is a problem somewhere.

A stockish PI motor should be in the 260rwhp, CMC Mustangs do it with minimal bolt ons.

A Mustang dyno comes in about 15% lower than a dyno jet. For example, my ride made 375/425 on a dyno jet and 312/374 on a mustang dyno without making any changes. So, your 224/255 is more like 257/294.

Furthermore, if you assume a 15% drivetrain loss your wheel #s of 257/294 would be around 295/338 on the motor.

If your car weighed 3400 lbs and you ran a 13.30@106 those numbers would be spot on.

Just a quick check on the CMC site ...

I just made 240Hp/280tq in a 2000 GT with the following mods on a dynojet following the NASA dyno proceedure.

Flowmaster catback
offroad xpipe
CAI

I dyno'd and came off at 252ish 284ish? I have the 96 bottom end with the PI heads, pulleys, long tubes, and K&N. would like to get to the numbers if possible... I am also running a T-5 which supposedly has less parasitic loss, aluminum driveshaft. I can't think of anything else I can do to get to the numbers... Help?

Motor is original stock/untouched 89k mile 2v. (03 GT)
Stock exhaust manifolds, Pypes 2 1/2" off road X pipe to duel 2 1/2" pipes w/ duel 14" long 2 1/2" inlet/outlet "bullet" mufflers, duel side exit (90 deg. non-mandrel bent) 2 1/2" tailpipes.
Other "power" mods include: Steeda underdrive pullies (crank, alt., water pump), K&N "fitpak" intake, FMS aluminum driveshaft. I run 18 lb. wheels with 255/40/17 RA1's.
Numbers were.. 256hp/296 tq, 257hp/296tq, 261hp/301tq.

Some debate about LTs and OEM exhaust manifolds, either seem to get the 260 # (our legal HP limit). Also the Steeda timing adjuster is allowed per rules for the 4.6. Fuel pressure seems to be an issue with these motors when you up the airflow and they don't compensate. But, we're not allowed to run a tune, I'm sure the tune fixes all this stuff.

No that was my car and mods. And the local speed shop showed up with 2 of their vipers and a gto and were able to determine that the dyno was off calibration by about 60 hp in most cases. Everyone was pissed because of the super super low numbers
