Clear coat started taking a dump on me so to work i went... I dont have any pics of how bad the clear coat was on the hood, but it did also have some nasty road chips.

First coat of primer on the hood after being sanded down and touched up with some body filler

I'll post those pics as soon as I can tomorrow morning, it's still drying with space heaters in the garage

Tails look 100x better...nice work.

I'm interested to see the hood shots...personally I don't like the hood itself, but it looks like a pretty cool paintjob.

Just curious but why did you go with the black hood and teal vents? I think that it would look really cool with the colors reversed (teal hood and black vents). However i do understand that it is your car and everything else looks nice.

I thought of doing it like that, teal hood-black vents, but a spray can of RD teal paint for Fords is almost $30 for a 12oz can! And my budget was no more than $100 :) honestly I don't like the hood myself, but screw it, I haven't seen one painted like mine anywhere, not even on here...

I'm now in the process of painting some of my engine parts, like the intake and valve covers... I'm thinking wrinkle Paint! I've never used it though, has anyone here used it before?

I've used VHT wrinkle paint in black, came out really nice on the valve covers but not as good as I'd hoped on plastic. Apparently a heat gun increases the wrinkle ability. not sure about white though.

Tails look good... hood went fairly well. But it fits like shit....
The fit is a bit off because I put a 1 inch spacer between my lower and upper intake. I had to put a bunch of washers on the hood hinges otherwise it'd rub against the intake. These pics do no justice on how it really looks in person

I was wondering what was up with the hood. You can fit a 1/2" spacer and still keep the hood at stock height. Just looks broken the way it is now.
