Ok so i have been collecting parts for my 94 GT and just got a 94 Cobra intake this weekend. Now i am pretty sure the factory GT strut tower brace is not going to clear and i plan on getting the MM stb to replace it. My questions is will the stock GT hood clear the Cobra intake with a spacer? I will be running the spacer since i need to get taller valve covers to clear my pedestal mount Comp Cam roller rockers. Also does anyone know what valve covers will clear these rockers on AFR 165 heads? I have heard the stock ones may if you smack out the baffles but not sure. Just trying to get an idea of what kind of issues i am going to run into ahead of time.

Not sure how big those rockers are but the stock Cobra valve covers fit over 1.7 crane RR no problem and don't require a spacer for the cobra intake. Depending on spacer size i think it'll be close.

Well my stock strut tower brace did fit after the Cobra intake was installed... but I think my father had to bend it slightly on one side to clear the intake. The bend is not even noticeable and it doesn't feel any different.

Having done this very thing, if you use a 1" spacer the Cobra intake will rub the insulation and the bracing underneath.
If you use a smaller spacer you will clear no worries.

My gt40 tube intake hits the hood with a one inch spacer. It closes but it has rubbed a nice mark underneath the hood. Liner is removed.
