So a buddy of mine was quoting me about 300 Bucks to do a full inside and out prep and spray. I know they use really expensive paint and the quality of my S281 Spoiler he did was tits. Is that about how much a Hood really costs to paint.....

My hood was $420cad(about $350us) for all prep work(a crap load) and paint...

Hrm hrm... Yeah I think the reason why its so expensive is because of the quality of materials they use. Thats the crappy part cause he does it as a side job but still has to pay the shop the materials cost.

Yes, the materials, and you get the tips of your fingers sore from all the sanding... Your really only paying for the blisters they get from sanding your hood.

Crap, I'm not supposed to say what my little procedure I'm having done will cost me. Really puts it into perspective when y'all throw out those #'s. Hate to type anymore about this.

I used to be a porter at a dealerships body shop, and i was curious how much it was to paint an old Cobra R hood i had.. It was
in rough shape, scratched, scuffed, etc.. They told me 400 Including everything (sand, prep, paint, clear, buff, color match to my car),
So if you can get your yellow, and you already know the quality of the job (spoiler) then i say you should jump on 300 bux.

Yeah Now all I have to do Is get the hood.... I talked to him today and he said anytime this week or next week is good for him. The hood is in phoenix and I have to drive and pick it up. Thanks again to Paul for making this happen! :notworthy:
