I will be ordering a new fiberglass hood shortly. While I prefer not to use hoodpins, for a cleaner look, I also don't want to have it come loose on me. What is the general concensus on using hoodpins with a fiberglass hood. yeah/nay.

fiberglass and carbonfiber = yeah.

i also suggest hood pins on sn95 stock hoods due to the two piece design.

I've had my 95R hood for 10 years and never had an issue with lifting etc. I always considered them more for looks on a street car.

If you have a fiberglass hood, I say use them. My hood doesnt stay down without them :p.

I say it depends on the hood, if it has a STEEL latch then I'm inclined to say no you don't need them, if it has a fiberglass latch, then yes otherwise it'll weaken and rip out over time. Stock hoods are fiberglass and don't require hood pins so basing it on the material of the hood is stupid imo.
