next cable post gets the butcher-knife... lol.

so, i went with Mr. Gasket flush hood pins.... I like the fact that they are super flush and didnt detract from the lines of the car.

You can also do them so they are facing down through the grill rather then up through the hood to get the function with out the look of them.

Da fug?!

Anyways here were my old ones. They are now gone with the new owner of the hood. As of now the new hood isn't getting pins.

Saw someone mount them backwards once. They mounted them too the hood facing down and drilled their holes through the support, and then clipped them on through the grill so that it still worked perfectly but you could not see the at all.

I kindof see where you're going with that. Still trying to picture mounting them to the underside of the hood without coming through the top, Chris hope that member chimes in.

Came here to chime in on some hood pin ideas and lost my train of thought because of coiling cables!

is there a particular set you're thinking of getting?

No idea on what set just have the idea that i wanna put hood pins on for that old skool muscle look, and deff want both look and function even if not at all necessary cause it makes it that much more cooler

At the end of the day, you "should" build your car the way YOU want it to be built. Whether or not Joe Blow thinks that hood pins relate to ricers is irrelevant.

When I decide on doing something new to my car, the only thing that matters to me is how I'll feel about it. If I decide I want gold rims with red lugnuts on my blue SN95, then the ONLY question I might ask people is which company makes gold rims. If I like something, then I'm going to get it regardless of what others think.

Anyways, build your car in a way which makes you proud of it and try not to worry about what the haters think about it!

As long as they are functional hood pins, then I would say no, that wouldn't be rice at all. Just don't waste your money on a "hood pin appearance kit" that stick on the hood with 3m tape and provide no functionality what so ever.

i'm of the mind that you don't need them on a stock hood. but if you want to do it for safety reasons then go for it. aftermarket hoods, they are a must to me. i've adjusted my hood 6-ways to sunday and it still doesn't latch everytime i close; maybe 90% of it does. but it only takes that one time for it not latch and there your car goes to the scrap heap.

What's wrong with lanyards?? You don't like my 69? LOL...I know what you mean guys...I bought a set to add to my 94 5 years ago...with the lanyards, but I have been too ambivalent to put them on. I loved them on my 69 & think they would look ok on the 94 but just can't do it

Found a couple pics of my 69!!! Thought were were all destroyed sorry about the quality, they are fading & permanently covered in an album...so a pic of a pic..
