How can I tell if a 5.0 short block is from a Explorer?

From looking at a 5.0 short block, how can I tell if a 5.0 short block is from a Explorer 5.0?

Just the short block? Not even sure and it honestly doesn't matter, they are the same for all intents and purposes and the exploder shortblock is going to be newer than any 5.0 Mustang unit anyway.

There's a # in the casting close to the bellhousing. I think it is on the driver side, it will tell you the vintage, but I'm not sure it will tell you if it's from an Explorer specificaly.
