how do i take off the brake calipers, im trying to paint them but i cant get the sumbitches off

bolts on the back of the caliper. mine were super tight too. or you could take the bracket off with the caliper attached

those bolts are pretty stuborn... some sort of penetrant should be in order. make sure you dont contaminate your brake pads/ rotors! Obviously... lol

Just use a breaker bar and I think 12mm socket. It's stubborn, but it will work out.

but be careful not to break the bolt

best thing is sprat the bolts a couple times w/ pb blaster and then try a breaker bar or impact gun

Yeah if you have a little trouble just let Pb blaster soak for a little while.

Don't use a breaker bar unless it's the last resort. If your using a breaker bar that is 18-24" long you are putting close to 200ft lbs of force on that. You could very easily snap it right off. I would use a breaker bar as my last resort.

also you might want to spray w/ pb blaster wait, then tap the head w/ a hammer(do not pound it), then re-apply the pb blaster

PB Blaster and and Impact wrench did the trick with no sweat...

I gotta say... If it wasn't for PB Blaster I wouldn't have been able to take alot of things off my car haha...
