How much does 01 Cobra motors sell for?

So, I have an 01 cobra motor in my 96 GT. It probably has around 40,000 miles on it. The car is pretty stock motor wise, only has intake and exhaust. I've come across the opportunity to swap in something bigger and better, but only if i can get a decent amount for my current motor. I've tried searching in the classifieds of different sites, but didn't get many results.

So, how much do these things usually go for?

looks like your not getting much here either...

i wish i had an answer but im not sure, a running NPI is like, 500..

a running PI can be 2000 in good condition..

a new pi ive seen go for 4000+..

so take a guess

privately sold, the entire car with moderate mileage on it isn't worth much more than 9 or 10 grand...

Holy crap you're crazy. You can get PI engines with warranty from $800-1500. (I only paid 800 for mine) 4v's are in the 1500-2500 range for a mid miles engine. YOu can get up to 3500 but you can always find a deal better than that.

I was just recently looking for a used 4v replacement. I'd say right around $2500 would be the going rate.

I on the otherhand will have a 98 shortblock (yes Teksid) with a spun bearing for sale soon. Trying to get a vlue for that is tough.

the block is usually worth $300-400, and the crank is usually worth $250-350. hopefully your crank is in decet shape and you can resell. Everything else in the engine is worth it's weight in scrap.
